Rebuilding Together Chicago
Saturday, April 29, 2017, 8:00 AM
Rebuilding Together Metro Chicago ("RTMC" http://www.rebuildingtogether-chi.com/)
believes in a safe and healthy home for everyone, and is dedicated to
improving the homes and communities of elderly, disabled and low-income
residents so that they may continue to live in warmth, safety and
the second year, the CFMA Chicago Chapter will partner with RTMC and
will participate in National Rebuilding Day, on Saturday, April 29, to
repair a home in the Chicago area. Pictured below is the group of
volunteers that participated in the event last year. The rain did not
hold us back and we were able to accomplish a lot in one day. Most
importantly we were able to help make the home safer for the homeowner!
year we look to sponsor another home in the Chicago area to help make
it a safer, dryer, and warmer home (with some cosmetic enhancements 😊 ).
Our homeowner, Ms. Fuller (pictured below), is a high-energy,
talkative individual who has lived in her home since 1959. At the age
of 88, she is still very healthy and lively. She enjoys outings to play
Bingo and eating lunch with local senior group.
CFMA Chicago Chapter is looking for a few good men and women to volunteer on Saturday, April 29th as
we participate in the National Rebuilding Together event. We are in
need of volunteers to make this happen. All skill levels are welcome
and needed. Family members, including students age 14 and older are
welcome to volunteer as well. Please contact Javier Gonzalez (Javier.email@example.com) if you are interested and available to participate.
For those who are unable to participate please consider making a donation (https://www.razoo.com/story/772vcf) to help the CFMA Chicago Chapter and RTMC continue the efforts of repairing
the homes and improving the neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area.
Every little bit helps in a tremendous way for these homeowners. If you
prefer to make a donation outside of the website, please contact Javier
